I am not a horticulturalist; so, I have no idea of what kind of blossom this is. I just know that there were a bunch of them blooming at Nocallula Falls State Park in Alabama last spring. I had the chance to shoot them while I was waiting for someone to meet us there. And, yes, the colors were that vibrant to start with!

Most of what you see here comes from my digital collection. However, there will be additions from my collection of film photos from years ago as I digitize that work. I live in one of the most scenic parts of the country - southeast Tennessee. There are mountains, trails, lakes, rivers, etc all around us.
